| I was going to post a rant the other day, but I'll post this story first because it's funnier and it happened just 20 minutes ago. I brought in a packed lunch today because i didn't want to spend any more money this week (EDIT: OMG, I just got paid, I have never seen my bank account have that many figures in a long time!! Must... resist... the urge... to spend...!), and so lunch consisted of rice, an omelette and kimchi. Since I had cooked the lunch about an hour ago and it was still warm when I brought it into the office, I thought it would be best to cool it down a bit before I put it into the fridge. I opened my tupperware at a crack since I didn't want to stink up the office and left it on my desk. Two of the designers were standing near me discussing a recent project and after they had finished talking and gone back to their desks, one of them said to the other, "Something smells in here," and the other goes, "I know, I just smelt it too!" "OH FUCK," I thought. Luckily they couldn't see the tupperware because there were giant presentation boards blocking it from view, so I quickly closed it and covered it with my bag... but then they both got up and started to investigate where the smell was coming from, and went around sniffing the air and under the desks! AHHHHH. D: Before they got to me, I coolly and discreetly wrapped the offending article up in the plastic bag it came from, pretended I knew nothing and went to the kitchen to place it in the fridge. By the time I got back they were sitting back at their desks doing their own thing like nothing happened, and I couldn't help but wonder that they figured maybe it was me since after I left the room the smell had gone, hahahahaha. If the kimchi smells by lunch time (when it's cold, obviously) I might have to eat outside because I don't want people to complain. D: Karl always complains how smelly kimchi is and I thought it was just him, but now I think it's all Western folk who can't appreciate the smell! My darlings, you do not know smelly until you have come across durians. | |

| hello and good morning! as you might already know, i started my work placement at start creative this monday and i quite like it! this morning, i accidentally stabbed my finger with a scalpel while helping a colleague put together some boards for a client. it didn't hurt, but i couldn't stop bleeding for about an hour. i bled so much, the blood even seeped through the plaster. i was so afraid i would get it on the client presentation, haha! i also had something to post yesterday but i was so tired i just couldn't be bothered. i'll do it tonight though, it's about frustrations with printing in the office. hope everyone's doing well! | |

I tend to sleep anywhere when I'm stationary for too long, it's a result of not getting enough sleep. I have years of sleep that I need to catch up on; I've been sleep deprived since I was 14. Anyway, this Vogue Korea photo shoot made me laugh because it reminds me of the many numerous and embarrassing photos my sister takes of me sleeping in public places (from train carriages, to boats, to buses... the list goes on). I wish I can look this good sleeping, unfortunately I'm a really ugly sleeper. :( I wish I was brave enough to post such photos as evidence, but if you're my friend on Facebook, chances are you've already seen them. *hides in shame* Goodness, it's already 3 am!? Looks like I'm going to have trouble getting up in the morning!

| This may look like a Victorian music box, but inside this intricately hand-crafted wooden case lives a Hewlett-Packard ZT1000 laptop that runs both Windows XP and Ubuntu Linux. It features an elaborate display of clockworks under glass, engraved brass accents, claw feet, an antiqued copper keyboard and mouse, leather wrist pads, and customized wireless network card. The machine turns on with an antique clock-winding key by way of a custom-built ratcheting switch made from old clock parts. Found through Neatorama, more images can be found at Datamancer's website. ----- I'm sorry I haven't been posting much about my life as of late, but some recent good news is that I went for a job interview today and I was offered a month's work placement at an agency that specialises in branding with a view to full-time employment (if I work hard, of course)! I'm really glad this is happening for me, the latter part of last year was a drag with not having a job and all. I start in the beginning of February, but for now I might take up a part-time job to keep myself busy. If not, I'll just work on some out-of-date art projects. Right now I'm pretty damn tipsy because Karl offered me Rosé wine as a celebratory drink and I just wanna pass out on the couch. I'm a real lightweight, I know. God, now I have a headache. Damn you, Oriental flush! | |

If there were such a thing as sweet pastry and donut trees, I'd have an orchard full of them in my backyard!

| Hello! I'm back in London after a nice break back home in KL. I didn't stay for very long, only for about 3 weeks, which is a shame because I wanted to meet up with loads of friends but really couldn't... I met up with only a handful in the end. My whole holiday was a real whirlwind! Here's what I got up to: - Went to Comic Fiesta, hung out with Dai, Reins, and Sizer and picked up some nice goodies (preferably Kidchan's artbook and the Thai artists' collaborative artbook).
- Met up with Jace and Atifi. (Yummy Japanese ice-cream, mm!)
- Went shopping/browsing with Mum and sister at Pavilion (a little boring) and The Curve.
- Went to Bangkok (28th - 31st Dec) and did MORE shopping with Mum, sister and grandma. Arrived at Bangkok and grandma tumbled out of the plane onto the gangway. NOT HAPPY with airport and AirAsia (stupid bimbo air stewardess just looked on as I and a fellow passenger helped my grandma up, grr).
- Spent early hours of the morning at Bumrungrad International Hospital* in Bangkok after grandma slipped out of bed and hit her head on the bedside table... My grandmother gushed over the handsome doctor who tended to her, and then later complained after she removed her bandages that he created more wrinkles on her forehead, LOL. The serviced apartment we were staying at were very apologetic and sent her a fruit basket as a get well present. So sweet!
- Spent New Year's Eve at home, we were extremely exhausted after our flight!
- Had New Year's dinner with family and then met up with friends after for drinks.
- Did last minute shopping at Sungei Wang day before I went back on the 2nd of Jan.
* Bumrungrad are very famous especially among foreigners for providing "cheap" cosmetic surgery. Shopping wise, I picked up quite a good haul while I was back home! Very proud of myself, hahaha. I'm way too lazy to photograph what I bought (I can't promise if I'll do it very soon, I'm very bad at keeping promises like this), so here's a list instead: - 3 pairs of 120 denier tights: black, navy blue and azure blue.
- 3 Alice headbands: red with white polka dots, silver and glittery, white and glittery.
- Green moose print on grey tank top.
- Black high-waisted pencil skirt with suspenders. (I LOVE THIS.)
- Gold flower cut-out detail pointed ballet flats.
- Black denim Converse sneakers.
- Camera pouch (with a camera print on the front!)
- Black and gold owl necklace.
- Brass necklace with cranes in flight.
- Black satin dress with Peter Pan collar.
- Laptop bag with grey tartan print. (Will be my new handbag!)
- 2 pairs of thin suspenders: one black with silver glitter, one black.
- Black and green skull knit top.
- Multicoloured polka dot on black long sleeved jumper. (Quite thin, but keeps me quite warm!)
- Illustrated anthropomorphic animal t-shirt. (I should have bought the one with the KISS animals on it, too!)
- Black & white houndstooth check shorts.
- See-through zebra print knee-high stockings.
- White ruffle-front blouse.
- Blue and white striped ruffle-front blouse.
- Grey striped shirt dress.
- Random make-up bits and bobs. (Skin Food foundation powder, false eyelashes (I haven't tried them yet), lip balm and lip gloss.)
- Hello Kitty hand & nail lotion. (It smells amazing! I didn't know Hello Kitty had a make-up and body care range.)
- Nail clipper. (?!)
- Tupperware. (?!)
WHOA, so many clothes! HAHAHAHA. I actually wanted to stock up on shoes and bags, but disappointingly all of the ones that I desired in my size were out of stock. That is the peril of shopping at year end sales, sigh! Overall, I got some pretty good bargains because of it. My mum says I've lost weight, which I have, but I didn't lose the weight on purpose. She said she's worried I might turn out... too skinny or bullimic or something. I had a look at her photos from the early 70's which revealed her to be pretty thin, thinner than me even, and I confronted her about it to which she agreed. My mum naturally eats very little, and I eat a shed load to which she knows, so I don't understand why she thinks I'd end up anorexic?! I hope everyone is having a great start to the New Year! I promise to update more.

| I can't sleep. So I do what I usually do when I sometimes can't sleep -- draw. I haven't drawn in a long time, but I must say I haven't lost the knack completely! I'll do some scanning once this is done, it's for the boy as a "I'm sorry I haven't bought you a Xmas present yet" present. I also found a comic I did for the first year of uni as a rough exercise. People found this kinda funny, so er, that's good... I like knowing I can make people laugh... Sometimes I think I'm not that funny. ANYWAY. I like the idea, I think the drawing needs more refining, hahaha. | |

| I hate SonicStage, it is all kinds of crap. Dear Sony, why couldn't you have written a decent program that lets me manage my music library and update my mp3 player without it taking SUPER LONG? Also, why can't Itunes help me automatically fix broken links? I'm tired of deleting stuff manually! Other random note, a boy that I've known from primary school as hot is still hot to this day. He reminds me a little of myself and Donald Duck, both rather impatient with a temper, ahaha. Remembering about primary school is fun, remembering about high school isn't. I want to kick my 14 year old self, but more so my classmates then. Why did I have to be friends with girls who were assholes? The only person to have actually given a shit about me was my science teacher, but I never got the chance to say thank you because I didn't know how... Now that I want to and have found out where he is, the stupid administration at the school he's working at won't tell me how to get in touch with him. Damn them. Anyway, I think the Operator Please Yes Yes Vindictive album is surprisingly spiffy! I like it a lot. They're a very talented bunch of young lads and lasses. Give it a listen! EDIT: Oh, and the new Caribou album, Andorra, is pretty amazing too! Thanks sonmi! | |

| I made some fried rice last night, added in some soy sauce, but stupidly forgot I added in a fish stock cube so I ended up with super salty rice. :( I added in more water to dilute the taste, it kind of worked, and then I remembered reading somewhere that if you add in some lemon it would neutralise the taste a bit. So I did, and now I have super salty sour rice for leftover lunch!! ARGHHHHHH. @____@;;;; I love Sphynx cats! I know not many people like them because they're not super furry like other cats, but they are adorable all the same! They're like feline bats to me. :D I think the down side to having a Sphynx is that they'd get all oily and you'd have to bathe or wipe them down a lot, hahahaha. Karl thinks they're hideous, he says they're like warm bladders, hahaha. His grandma has a Devon Rex and he likes her, so I don't understand why he wouldn't like a Spyhnx, they're both very similar (except one is slightly hairier than the other, I suppose)! The one thing I didn't like so much about Karl's grandma's Devon Rex is that it had a sort of cheesy smell about it. @_____@;;; It's quite common with Cornish Rexes, so I wouldn't be surprised if it was the same with Devon Rexes, too! Look at these babies and tell me you don't think they're cute! So horrible and wrinkled, but so cute! Then again, I have strange notions of what cute is. | |

| I stupidly let my body drift off to sleep on the couch after eating dinner last night for about an hour and a half, and when I woke up to drag my butt off to bed, I couldn't go back to sleep. So after about 2 hours tossing and turning at 1 am, I went on the Internet to hopefully bore myself back to sleep but I ended up going to bed at 6 am. I woke up at 2.30 pm, and now my supposedly productive day is shot. :( I did this yesterday as well... it sucks.
Hopefully I can still make up for it!
